Directions : Dissolve 1-2 sachets in a glass of cold water. A urinary tract infection such as cystitis is usually caused by bacteria entering the bladder from the bowel. Ural® Cranberry works in two ways : its alkaline base helps to neutralise acidic urine in the bladder, giving relief to mild UTI symptoms within hours, while cranberry extract helps to support a healthier urinary tract and ward off further infection. See your doctor if irritation persists after 48 hours or if there is blood in your urine. Do not use for more than five days without consulting your doctor. Take up to 4 times daily. How it works : With real cranberry extract, this pleasant effervescent drink not only helps to relieve the burning sensations associated with cystitis, it also helps to promote a healthy urinary tract. Also contains saccharin. If symptoms persist after 48 hours, or if there is blood in the urine, seek medical attention promptly. . The resulting symptoms - including that burning, stinging sensation when urinating - can be frustrating and painful. UTIs can result from sexual activity, changes in hormone levels including pregnancy and hormone replacement therapy, genetics, certain medical conditions and changes in diet. By helping to stop bacteria from attaching to cells that line the bladder, it may help reduce the risk of further infections. Diabetics are also more prone to developing UTIs. Those on a low-salt diet should note that each sachet contains 644mg of sodium. Do I need to see a doctor, or is taking Ural® Cranberry enough? Ural® Cranberry treats the symptoms of a mild UTI, but some infections may also require a course of antibiotics. Is there anything else I can do to improve my symptoms?Drink plenty of water – this will help flush the bacteria from your bladder. Ingredients : Each sachet contains sodium bicarbonate, tartaric acid, citric acid anhydrous, sodium citrate anhydrous. Avoid acidic foods such as citrus fruits, spicy dishes, caffeine and alcohol. Do not give to children aged younger than 12 without medical advice. Women are particularly prone to UTIs as the urethra (the final exit point from the bladder) is only about four centimetres long, meaning micro-organisms have only a short journey to reach the bladder. Do cranberries really help treat urinary tract infections?Cranberry is not a treatment in itself for urinary tract infections – often, antibiotics may be needed. Smart relief. See your doctor if your urine contains blood, or if urinating remains painful and/or too-frequent, if your urine is an abnormal or cloudy colour and/or has a strong odour. Warnings See your doctor if pain or irritation persists for more than 48 hours or if you notice blood in your urine. How did I get this urinary tract infection?
